Its been awhile since I have updated! I have been so busy. Christmas is over and it was great but I am glad it is over!!! We just got back from Arkansas last night and it has been a crazy day today with all the kids I watch now. Hayden hasn't been feeling good and started running a fever this evening. I took him to Acute Kids after the kiddos left and he has a sinus infection. They put him on Omnicef so hopefully he will start feeling better soon!
The boys had a wonderful Christmas and have really enjoyed their gifts. I would update with pics but I left my camera in Arkansas so I am waiting for them to mail it to me!! Ugh.

We did have a great holiday with the families and I am very thankful for that! I will update more tomorrow, I am about to fall asleep typing. Good night!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

I am almost done....so many gifts to buy and not enough time in the day! I have gone overboard as usual but I love to see the boys faces Christmas morning!! This week we need to swing by and see Santa and get a pic of the boys with him. Not much time left.... Holidays are pretty crazy around here because Paul and I both have divorced parents and have to make the trips. After shopping, cleaning, cooking, wrapping, traveling...I am whipped!

We went to my dad's on Saturday and make Gingerbread houses, the kids had a great time. We have made ornaments with their pictures in them and tomorrow we will start on the Christmas cookies.

I have a busy day tomorrow with my new assistant and 8 kiddos! I better get into bed. Here are some pics to enjoy!

MDA Stride & Ride--help me raise money for a cure!

MDA Stride & Ride
January 31, 2009
Grapevine Mills Mall

I’ll be joining over 2,000 MDA families and friends for the 2009 MDA Stride and Ride. It’s more than a walk- it’s a reunion, an outpouring of support for families living with neuromuscular disease. Last year, we raised nearly $450,000 to fund life-saving research.
I’d like to share this experience with you by
· Inviting you to walk on my team “Trae’s Warriors”
· Asking for your support through a contribution

You may send your donation to me or donate online at https://www.joinmda.org/dfwstride2009/TurnerFam27

This is very personal to me and my family. My half brother passed away Jan. 1999 to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. My brother was my hero; I looked up to him and prayed every day that a cure would be found before the disease took his life. Please help us get a step closer to finding a cure, I pray now that in my lifetime we will see one. I know times are hard right now for everyone but please if you can donate even a dollar it means a lot and is going towards saving these children’s lives. Every little bit counts too! You can also join our team and raise money yourself and walk in memory of my brother. Together we can make a difference!

Trae’s Warriors-- Fighting for a Cure!
Happy Holidays,
Jessica Turner

Paul is in the hospital tonight and has been there most of the day. They will keep him overnight and run a stress echo in the morning sometime.
Please pray they find out what is going on with his heart! Thank you!

Thanksgiving was great! We all went over to Ashleigh's and Steve made the turkey and Ash made a green bean casserole. Gaga brought dressing, shrimp and jalepeno appetizers and giblet gravy. Steve's parents came and brought a rice casserole and a corn casserole. I brought sweet potato souffle, potato casserole, rolls, brownies covered in marshmallow creme and mini choc chips and a ham. Everything was great! I had more fun hanging out with the family though.... Hayden and Emmi had a blast. I was trying to get Emmi to say my name and instead she said "Aunt-ti" oh well...at least she called me something!

Today I am watching a couple kids and two are asleep, one is laying down watching a Santa movie, three are at the kitchen table doing arts and crafts and eating a snack.

Paul is working, he had to go in. Hopefully he will take the week off before Christmas so we can all spend time together. Gotta go, I will update pictures later!!!

Hayden's Surgery Today

It went well, Hayden did great and only cried for a second when they took him out of my arms to carry him into the operating room. Surgery was less than 10 minutes and he woke up in recovery screaming and crying. Poor baby!!! He didn't stop crying until we got home. He took a nap and woke up feeling great! He was happy, playing, running and eating. He was normal Hayden!!
The doctor said his ears were filled with puss even with him on the antibiotic. He asked Paul and I if he had been sleeping at night. I guess he thought he hadn't but Hayden is a great sleeper!!! He is probably just used to the ear infections....

I am up cooking....I made a sweet potato souffle, brownies with marshmallow cream (for Ash), Mashed potato casserole for those who don't like sweet potatoes, fresh cranberry sauce and a ham tomorrow. I also bought rolls.... I am about to go to bed and clean up in the morning. I am whipped! I am excited to spend the day with my wonderful family tomorrow!! I hope all of you have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Hayden is doing MUCH better!! Hopefully tonight he will sleep well. He has a checkup tomorrow with the doctor. She will tell us then if we need to reschedule his ear tube surgery for Weds. If he has any congestion he will not be able to have it. He seems to be doing ok, so we will see.
Austin is doing ok, he is still coughing a little bit. I don't understand how he doesn't have allergies but we will see how this new treatment works. I just hope this works for his sake!
Trae is doing great but really missing football! We are going to play him in Arena (indoor football) next. Austin is too young to play so he will get to pick what he wants to do next. I am enjoying the break from practices!!
This weekend I am decorating for Christmas, I can't wait!!! I love my decorations!!

Hayden's ENT appt.

Hayden saw the ENT yesterday and he highly recommended Hayden have tubes put in. He is getting alot of ear infections and in order to protect him and his hearing this is the best decision. He will go in on Nov.26th to get them. The surgery will only take about 10 minutes!

We went to the Allergies and Asthma Specialist for Austin and he doesn't have any allergies after all.... weird, but true. His asthma is acting up because of colds, infections, etc.... The doctor has put him on an inhaled steroid that we will use the entire winter, everyday. He will continue the flonase for now but he said to stop the Allegra. When we go back to see him in 5 weeks he will possibly take him off the Flonase too. Here are some pics of his allergy test!

Go Gators!

Today is the big day, the Championship game! I painted some cowbells and made some pennants that we can wave for Trae. He is excited and wants to win this year! It is cold this morning...brrrr. I can tell Paul is pumped up too, the coaches want to see their hard work pay off too.

Austin's allergy and asthma specialist appt. is Tuesday along with Hayden's ENT appt. Poor Austin's allergies are bad! It seems as if the Allegra and Flonase are not working so well anymore.

Everyone is great here! The boys are doing fabulous in school and loving it. Hayden is great and growing up every minute.

Thursday, November 13, 2008

The week is almost over and I cannot wait! It has been a busy one and I am ready for some time to relax!
Trae's game is Saturday at noon for the Championship! We are all ready to go cheer him on. I have to get the boys some clothes for the winter this weekend. Trae has outgrown almost every shirt he has. He is getting so tall.
I need to start buying Christmas presents too, it is coming up quickly!! I walked around Target the other night and got some good ideas. Hayden is the easy one this year. Trae is the most difficult because he doesn't like toys anymore. He said sports clothes, ipod, electric scooter, in-line skates and electric guitar. Austin wants an ipod, electric scooter, electric guitar, drums, skates and some action figures. I already know what I am getting Emmi, Gaga and the grandparents. I have an idea for Paul too!
Ash is having some purse party, jewlery party this Friday that I have to go too. I do need a new purse so that is good!!
Better go, babies are up!

Please keep those in your prayers who are going through a financially hard time right now. I know many people just trying to stay afloat. Please pray that they get back on their feet and are able to provide for their families.

Papa Turner- Our Vet who served in Vietnam

I had typed up this long update yesterday and somehow it was gone before I could save it.

Soooo, let me try this again....

Austin's team lost their playoff game so football is over for him. His team tried so hard and gave it their all! We had a wonderful season.

Trae's team won their game and are in the Championship again this year! They will play the Colts on Saturday and the winner will be this year's champions!! He is very excited.

Thank you to all the Veteran's today and everyday!! God Bless you all.

Friday, November 7, 2008

Tomorrow is the big day! I hope we win both games!!! I cannot wait!!!
Go Tigers and Gators!!!

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

It was a very long day today! The boys got home from school and Trae stated that he wanted me to go/take him to his football practice tonight. Hayden still isn't feeling 100% so I left him with Paul. Trae had a great practice and is ready to win and score some touchdowns on Saturday. It was such a beautiful night and Austin and I had fun watching them play.

I am so completely exhausted but I am looking for a full time job online. I am hoping something great will come along soon. I have great plans for my future!! I need a job to get there though....
I am not quite sure if Hayden is getting better or not. When he is up, he is fussy and wants me to hold him ALL day. He took a long nap this morning, got up and ate and then went back to sleep about 2 hours later! He isn't running a fever but he still doesn't feel good. Poor guy, just breaks my heart.

Hopefully the sleep will help him heal! I know the rest of the family is fine. I heard Gaga felt like she was getting sick.... I hope not!

The New President

Austin came home and said at school he voted for Obama. Trae and I were shocked! I know Austin just voted on who his friend was probably voting for. Then he proceeded to tell me "mom, Obama kills babies! If I would have known that before I voted I wouldn't have voted for him." I guess he is hearing that from school. I had to explain that it was called abortion and Obama is for it. He doesn't actually go around himself and just kill random babies on the street.

Trae voted for McCain and he won at their school. We all need to pray that Obama can lead our country and help us!

President Barack Obama.....just doesn't sound right...... but, I have hope!

I truly believe God puts people in your life for a reason. These past couple of weeks have been hard on me. Emotionally. Today, I found someone who I know who is going through the same things I had been. She told me things she is dealing with that I have dealt with for a long time. She is sad, lost, feels hopeless, scared, etc. It is amazing that you can grow and help other people just from things you have experienced in your life. I wish I had the fix or something to help her because I feel for her. All I can do is pray she makes the right decisions....

Hayden had to go get a shot of an antibiotic last night and he seemed better until this afternoon he started coughing really bad! Ugh! Ash said Emmi has a cold and an ear infection too! Hayden has an appt. with the ENT on the 18th to schedule his tube surgery. Poor babies!! Trae and Austin are practicing for the semi-final's this week. Saturday is the big day...if we win we go the the Championship. I hope they both win!!! How exciting!!

Trae got his report card and he made all A's again and is on the Honor Roll. Austin is doing good too!!! They dont' get grades until the 2nd grade in Frisco. They just get a check mark by things they can do, etc. They both are loved by their teachers and never get into trouble...everything a mother could ask for!

I am still looking for a full time job, please pray something great comes along!!! :)

God Bless,
Jessica

Monday, November 3, 2008

Hayden had to go back to the doctor today. Paul didn't take him to the right place on Friday and they put him on a really weak antibiotic. Men just don't listen!! I guess if you want it done right you have to do it yourself! He was still running a fever all day since Friday. I took him into Acute Kids and they gave him a strong antibiotic shot and called in a prescription for Omnicef. Hayden has an appt. Nov.18th to meet with the ENT and then we will schedule his surgery from there. He will have to have tubes afterall. Hopefully by tomorrow Hayden will be doing much better!! Goodnight!!!

Playoff Games

The boys won their playoff games!!! Trae's team creamed the Patriots 26 to 0. Austin's team was tied up and went into overtime and won! Austin was blocking so well he opened the biggest hole for the running back to run threw. Because Austin did that we were able to score again and won the game!!! It was an intense game.

Gaga was nice enough that she stayed with Hayden at our house so I could go to the games. Hayden was still miserable and running a fever so he couldn't go. I know Gaga wanted to watch the games but she helped me out in a BIG WAY!! I cannot thank you enough mom!!! Thanks.

This week we play the Hurricane's and the Texans....Go Gators and Tigers!!!

Halloween Night

Halloween was alot of fun! The kids had a great time. Hayden had to go to the doctor because he needed to get on an antibiotic. He had an ear infection. Hayden stayed home with Gaga and the dad's. All the mom's and other kids went trick or treating. They got WAY too much candy!

I was getting stopped by mom's and kids asking if I was Trae's mom. Trae is quite the kiddo.... mom's telling me that their daughter's have the biggest crush on him. Girls stopping Trae trying to get his attention.... Their was even a boy in his grade that stopped him and told him how "cool" he looked! What??? Trae didn't pay much attention to any of it. He honestly could care less. I was just shocked! Everyone knows who Trae is.
Their was also a girl who told her mom "that's Austin mom!! He is in my class!!" I heard the mom say "oh, that's Austin". This particular girl rides their bus and has a crush on Austin. I just want to know why girl's are so boy crazy so early??? My boys don't like girls yet but the girls sure are interested.

Ash made Tortilla Soup and it was soooo good! I made jalepeno appetizers, cupcakes and a sopapilla cheescake. Everything turned out so well! The boys looked cute but Emmi was just adorable in her costume!!! So cute!!

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Tomorrow is the big day...Happy Halloween! I bought Hayden and Emmi matching Halloween light up shirts. I have Emmi today by the way!! I wanted them to match.... They are too cute!!! We are having a small Halloween party before we all head out and trick or treat. Ash is making her tortilla soup and I am making bacon wrapped stuffed jalepenos, 7 layer mexican dip, cupcakes and sopapilla cheesecake!! For the kids I am making mini halloween shaped pizza's!! Fun stuff.
It should be alot of fun. I can't wait to get all the kids together. My friend Mandy is bringing her 3 boys too!!

As a mother I try and to protect my boys as much as I can. I am labeled as an overprotective mother because I do overdue it sometimes. In 8 years I have come to realize no matter how many times you hold their hand, tell them to watch out, teach them about strangers, protect them with helmets, knee pads and keep them happy and healthy.... you cannot protect them from what God has planned for them. No matter how hard you try some things you cannot protect them from. You have to give it to God.... and pray for the best outcome for your child....whatever that might be. My heart goes out to these suffering and I cannot even begin to imagine what it feels like. All I can do is pray for them and try to help in anyway I can.

Please keep these families in your prayers....

Hospital pics of Austin (trying to cool his burning nose off with ice)

Trae's scary face!!

Trae and Austin had me paint their faces before we went to PaPa Hays' house for some pumpkin carving...... SCARY!!

Monday, October 27, 2008

We had an eventful weekend! Saturday we had 2 wins in football and then we went over to my dad's to have dinner and carve pumpkins. We had a really good time! Sunday was Trae's birthday party and I ran around all morning like always. We had a great turnout and the boys had fun playing football and on the playground. Paul grilled hotdogs and I made a brisket and chopped it up for sandwiches. I have to say the brisket was a huge hit! Trae had a cookie cake this year and it was really good too. Trae got alot of great gifts and had a really special day!

I am watching twin 15 month old boys this week until 2:30 in the afternoon. They are so cute and Hayden is happy to have someone his age to play with. It is pretty cute watching them all play together!!

Austin is home today. His allergies are really bad or he has something else. He isn't running a fever and doesn't have a runny nose or anything. He just has a cough and his eyes are red....so I am thinking it is just allergies. He is out of flonase so I had to call in another prescription.

I am so worn out from this weekend and I have a full week of kids this week. Good thing though because I love the kids so much! They are so much fun!! I also have Emmi Reeser on Thursday!!!

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Trae's day is quickly approaching and I feel so blessed. 8 years I have had so much joy, 8 years of so many smiles, laughter and tears. 8 years I have had with him and so many more to celebrate. Trae is so much like me, I can really relate to his feelings and emotions. He also has many of my brother's qualities. He is an honor roll, straight A student that strives for the best. He puts his whole heart into everything. Trae doesn't like to disappoint, he loves to help. Trae is one of the best kids in the entire world, the most loving brother, wonderful nephew, grandson and cousin! I am so lucky to have him in my life. I feel like the most blessed mother in the world.
I pray that Trae has many many more wonderful years!!!

Some things I just do not understand. I don't understand why the nice person ALWAYS gets taken advantage of!! Why the nice person who sticks up for someone at all costs turns into the bad guy??? The nice person who helps someone out as much as she can and doesn't even get a thank you. Maybe the nice guy should start being not-so-nice! Time to start standing up for who we are and what we believe in. Trying to hard to please someone and always having it slap you in the face. What a joke!!

My faith will get me through anything! I will not try anymore nor will I keep my mouth shut anymore. I will stand up for myself and for what I believe in.

Nothing "will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39).
The 2 older boys woke up in the worst mood this morning! They were really dragging getting ready for school. Austin has been giving me a hard time lately but NEVER Trae!! Trae is very particular about his clothes and how they fit, feel, etc. He was aggravated at them this morning and didn't like how his under shirt was fitting.

Hayden has been in a good mood and seems to be managing his 3 new teeth coming in.

I am preparing everything for Trae's 8th birthday party this Sunday!! He is having it at the park this year...he wanted to play football with all of his friends. It is a Dallas Cowboys theme!

I am also having a very small Halloween party on Halloween. All of the girls are going to go out and trick or treat with the kids and the Dad's are going to stay at the house and pass out candy!!

This year the boys wanted to decorate the yard spooky so we have strobe lights, fog machine, flashing ghosts in the window, scary music and a graveyard in the front yard.

Pumpkin Patch Pics

Trae was too cool to get in this picture in front of Winnie the Pooh!!

Trae thinks he is too cool for this!!!

Sunday, October 19, 2008

Games were great this weekend! Austin lost his but they tried really hard. Trae won his game and scored 2 touchdowns!! They are still undefeated.
Ash and Steve had us over for dinner Saturday night...it was soooo good!!! The kids had fun together and Emmi had fun pushing Hayden around in her car. You can tell she is an only child, everytime Hayden would get a toy she would take it from him!!! I remember those days with Trae. Thing is it doesn't last long...they learn to share pretty quickly once the other one shows up.
After I went grocery shopping this afternoon we went to the Celina Pumpkin Patch and met Ash and Steve and Emmi there. The kids had a great time feeding the animals, taking pictures together, going on the Hayride and picking out pumpkins. Ash is uploading the pictures so I will add them tomorrow. We had a great time and the kids loved being together!!
Back to cleaning....

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Trae had football tonight and the weather was PERFECT!! So nice!! Austin and I threw the football back and forth and he looked at his football book he checked out from the library. Trae had an awesome practice! He ran the ball like a pro and no one could tackle him....shocker! He is so good!!! I am so proud of him, can you tell? He also tackled and blocked like a pro! He is so aggresive and enjoyed every minute of it. I cannot wait to see him at the game on Saturday because it looks like Coach Bill will be running him alot!
I am still looking for a full time job...so keep praying something GREAT comes along!!
I am so glad tomorrow is Friday!!! Yea!!

Parent/Teacher Conferences Today

Today I had both of the boys parent/teacher conferences. Mrs. Horak, Austin's teacher said he is the sweetest student she has ever had. She just adores him so much! She went on and on about what a good kid he is. He is doing great in Math, always gets 100's. He is struggling in reading and we are going to keep working on that with him. Austin has taken longer to learn letter and sound recognition. Once he completely masters that he will be a better reader. He tried very hard though and doesn't give up. He never gets into trouble and always listens. She gave me some ideas to try and help him work on his weaknesses.
Trae is doing great in everything and his teacher said he is such a good kid. She said she never has to get on to him or anything. She said he catches on quickly and does so perfectly. He is advanced in all of his learning and is testing in a 5th grade level (highest they compare too). His writing, reading and drawing is advanced. He does struggle sometimes with reading comprehension but barely. He is doing great in all subjects too!
I am very proud of my boys! Not only are they good students but great kids in general. Their teachers LOVE them and appreciate their manners. Yeah, Turner Boys!!

Sunday, October 12, 2008

I wish this weekend wasn't over!!! They seem to just fly by now a days. We had a good weekend both of the boys won their games again. Gaga came to both and Ash and Emmi came to Trae's.
The boys and I went Halloween decoration shopping on Saturday and put some of it up in the house. Sunday we all went on a walk down a beautiful trail and played at the park. The boys had so much fun rolling down the hills too!! After that we came home and the boys played football in the backyard.
Hayden is getting more teeth so his nose has been running. He is such a ham!!
The boys do not have school tomorrow it is parent teacher conference day. I did get Trae's report card and he had all A's. Mostly 100's, 98 was his lowest. Austin is graded on a different level and we will discuss all of that tomorrow.
I hope you all had a great weekend and have an even more wonderful week!!!

Monday, October 6, 2008

It is storming right now. Austin doesn't like thunderstorms so I laid down with him. He was so cute sucking his tongue with his finger across his lips. One arm wrapped around me....then 4 minutes later he was fast asleep. I just laid there looking at him and gently rubbing his forehead. I am amazed at how beautiful my boys are. I look at him and feel so proud to be his mommy. Every inch of him is such a miracle to me....I just starred in amazement. The Lord has been so good to me. I hear stories about people going out, drinking, dancing, having a good time and I don't want to do that. I thought about what makes me happy and its being with the boys. Doing crafts, dancing around being silly, talking, playing, doing homework, fishing, football, etc. They bring me soooooo much joy!!!
We had a busy week and weekend. The boys both did great at their games and won! Hayden had fun running all over the place. I still don't think I have fully recovered!!
Austin puts in 100% each time and helped his team win their 2nd game. It was a close game but we went into overtime and won it! Go Tigers!!
Trae was running back this past game and ran 2 touchdowns (almost 3) and did a perfect job at Linebacker too!! He is really liking playing running back....not so much pressure as Quarterback and he gets to score the touchdowns more. Trae made some really good tackles too.
The boys are doing great in school and learning so much. They come home with prizes everyday for being so good at school. They don't ever get into trouble for anything!! Thank goodness. I must have done something right!! :)
I am getting ready for Trae's 8th birthday party and also a halloween party for the kids before trick or treating so I am staying busy. Trae wants to have his party at the park so he and his friends can play football. I think we will cook out some hotdogs for the kids and have a cookie cake this year. That's it for now!!

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

I feel so blessed. Today when the boys got home we had so much fun doing homework!! Yeah, I said it...homework!! I am so proud of my little boys. They are so smart! After homework we ate dinner and then me and all the boys went to play tennis!! We had so much fun!!

I need to find a job full time and hopefully something close by. Please keep me in your prayers and hopefully something GREAT will come my way. Based on the economy we are just skating by and need more income.

Friday, September 26, 2008

My little Austin wears me out and then picks me up! Austin got home from school and was so tired! He refused to go to football practice and we had it out about it. He made the commitment to play football and he cannot let his team down. He finally got ready and we headed to football after arguing for an hour straight. Austin had a great practice and cheered up. After practice we all went to grab dinner and some movies and came home and had the best time together! I am so thankful for the good and bad times. Any time I get with my boys! We have football games tomorrow and I am excited! I love watching those boys.... Hayden will be excited to go to the games tomorrow! He loves running around so mommy can chase him!!!

Sunday we have a birthday party to go to for my best friends son, Cameron. He is turning 4!! Trae will have to miss it though....He is going to the Dallas Cowboys/Redskins game with his good friend Cole. Lucky Dog!! Go Gators, Tigers and Cowboys!!!

Blessings

Almost 8 years ago I was given the best gift in the world. The gift of motherhood.... I was blessed with Trae, then Austin and last but not least....Hayden. I would have never seen myself as a mom growing up. I just wasn't a kid person growing up. Babies would cry when I held them so I just wouldn't hold them. The moment I was pregnant with my babies there was a connection. A connection that is stronger than anything in the world, a connection that will never be broken. God blessed me beyond anything I could imagine. I have 3 healthy, handsome, sweet, smart and happy boys. Emotionally I have been through alot the last 7 years. I have fought hard and never given up though. My boys deserve nothing but the best!
As mothers we all want the best for our kids. I know I do and I imagine everyone else does too! God chose these 3 boys for me and I am not going to ever give up on them. There is a reason they are mine and there is a reason I am their's!!
I am so proud of my babies! Trae hasn't ever been in trouble and never gives us a hard time. He is a pleaser! Trae is definately a momma's boy, know doubt about it. He adores and always helps his mom. Austin is such a great, lively, talkative little boy. He is hard headed, stubborn and voices his opinions. Much like his Aunt Ashleigh!! Austin is full of life and dreams and has a very caring heart too. Yesterday he made figures of all of us out of model clay. After they dried he was playing with them and he would play fight with everyone but mommy. When he held mommy up with his figure we would dance and he would give me kisses. There was no kicking or fighting mommy!! I love that...I love to be the only girl sometimes. Hayden is full of life too! He enjoys every moment and laughs constantly. He is a smart little booger and tries to please me already. Today he would bring me anything he found on the floor, hand it to me and then clap and say "tank too" (thank you). If I wasn't paying attention he would grab my hand open it and place the item in my hand. He loves his family and is always loving on all of us. He loves music and dances whenever he hears a beat. He is soaking up life and his smiles light us all up.
These boys give me life, they fill me up and push me to be a better person, a better wife, a better mother, sister, daughter, etc. Thank you God for my blessings. Thank you! I love you boys more than you will ever know!!!!!

Sunday, September 21, 2008

This weekend was a good one. Austin played pretty well at his game, he started blocking in the second half. His team lost but they played hard!! Trae had a great game, he scored 1 touchdown and got 2 extra points. He did really well at quarterback and on defense!! He plays his little heart out. After the game we went to watch my best friends son, Ryan play. His coach just put him in as quarterback so we wanted to see how he did. He came over last Friday and Trae coached him. He actually had a good game and almost ran a touchdown too!!

Gaga watched Hayden for us again! Thanks Gawgs!

We were going to go to the Plano Balloon Festival but decided not too after sitting in traffic for over an hour and Ash calling and saying it was so crowded inside they could barely move!! Ash, Steve, Emmi and Gaga were leaving because it was so crowded. We turned around and took the boys to Gatti Town. They had alot of fun on the bumper cars, rides and games. Paul and I were really worn out!!

I am sitting here watching the Cowboys game, everyone else is asleep!! Go Cowboys!!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Today I had a taste of what's to come.....2 girls (best friends) called Trae today about 50 times! I got their first message and called the mom. The mom said the girls were thinking and talking about Trae and wanted to call him and see how he was doing. Trae wouldn't talk to them at first and they kept calling about 20 times and then he finally talked to them and told them he had to go to football. After we got home we noticed they called about 30 more times after that!!! Trae has NO interest in girls and knows he isn't allowed to date until he is 26. I knew alot of girls have a crush on Trae but I didn't think they already start calling boys!! Especially in 2nd grade!! I was not allowed to call boys....EVER!!! Times have changed. Girls are pretty aggressive now a days.
Uugh, I am not ready for this! They are MY boys!!!

Austin's Cardiologist Appt.

We just got back from the doctor and Austin's heart murmur is "innocent". He doesn't have any holes or anything wrong with it. She did a bunch of tests and did see a murmur but this is something he will outgrow. Nothing to be concerned about! Yea!! So right now I don't have anything to worry about with the kids. Let's keep it that way!

If nothing else can lift you up, the fact that God has made you as His very own should...
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all sins and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days...I have been really down with this horrible sore throat!!
We are all doing good, 2 football games tomorrow. Gaga is coming over to watch Hayden while we go. That way I can actually watch the games!!

I really don't have much to post tonight, I am so tired! I did catch the boys another small gecko while running out to my car for Hayden's drink cup. Austin's beta fish died yesterday. I think it is because they were throwing all these marbles in the tank and it contaminated the water.

I am going to try and get some sleep tonight. It has been 3 nights since I have been able to sleep!! Good night.

9-10-08

I am sick, my throat hurts really bad! Hayden is sick and Trae still isn't feeling well. Me and Hayden cried all day!!! Just kidding....Hayden didn't!! Ha ha.... Its really hard being the mom sometimes.. when I am sick I don't get to rest. I have to continue to take care of the kids and suffer through it. What I would give right now to be able to take a day off and rest. Mommy doesn't get a day off though. I haven't had a day off, not one in almost 8 years.
I haven't been feeling well for about 3 weeks so I will make a doctor's appt. I obviously can't get better on my own. If I have the strength tomorrow I am going to take Hayden and Trae to the doctor. I will have Kennedy too so my hands will be full! Trae had to miss football tonight, that's a first. I am whipped and just layed Hayden down, now I will try and get some sleep!! Good night.

One of my dearest friends, Danielle Reyes is pregnant! She lost her daughter over a year ago to Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. She found out she was pregnant and was hoping it was girl...God is good, she is having a girl!! Nothing will ever replace her beautiful daughter, Lisette. This will be a good point in their lives, this child is a gift from God. I wish nothing but the best for this family! I love them so much! They are such good people and deserve this.

Football and Gaga's Birthday Weekend

We had a very busy Saturday! Saturday morning Paul and I cleaned the house then Paul took Austin to football pictures while I got everyone else ready for football. We had Trae's game first and Gaga, Ash, Steve, Emmi and Papa all came to cheer both of the boys on. Trae did well and they won their game! Then we were off to Austin's game and he played really well too. The Tigers didn't win this one though..... maybe next time. Hayden did great but was all over the place. Emmi was perfect and sat in her stroller like a good girl! Then Ash, Steve, Emmi and Gaga came over and we all cooked out for Gaga's birthday. Steve brought steak and chicken and we cooked that. I made broccoli cole slaw with ramen noodles and almonds, potato casserole and bacon wrapped jalepeno things. Ash also got Gaga an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins! The food was soooooo good!!! I wish we could all do this every weekend. I love being around the family. Gaga spent the night because the boys wanted her too. She left a little while ago to get everything ready for work tomorrow. Happy Birthday tomorrow Gaga!!! We love you.
