We are having a small Halloween party before we all head out and trick or treat. Ash is making her tortilla soup and I am making bacon wrapped stuffed jalepenos, 7 layer mexican dip, cupcakes and sopapilla cheesecake!! For the kids I am making mini halloween shaped pizza's!! Fun stuff.
It should be alot of fun. I can't wait to get all the kids together. My friend Mandy is bringing her 3 boys too!!

As a mother I try and to protect my boys as much as I can. I am labeled as an overprotective mother because I do overdue it sometimes. In 8 years I have come to realize no matter how many times you hold their hand, tell them to watch out, teach them about strangers, protect them with helmets, knee pads and keep them happy and healthy.... you cannot protect them from what God has planned for them. No matter how hard you try some things you cannot protect them from. You have to give it to God.... and pray for the best outcome for your child....whatever that might be. My heart goes out to these suffering and I cannot even begin to imagine what it feels like. All I can do is pray for them and try to help in anyway I can.

Please keep these families in your prayers....

Hospital pics of Austin (trying to cool his burning nose off with ice)

Trae's scary face!!

Trae and Austin had me paint their faces before we went to PaPa Hays' house for some pumpkin carving...... SCARY!!

We had an eventful weekend! Saturday we had 2 wins in football and then we went over to my dad's to have dinner and carve pumpkins. We had a really good time! Sunday was Trae's birthday party and I ran around all morning like always. We had a great turnout and the boys had fun playing football and on the playground. Paul grilled hotdogs and I made a brisket and chopped it up for sandwiches. I have to say the brisket was a huge hit! Trae had a cookie cake this year and it was really good too. Trae got alot of great gifts and had a really special day!

I am watching twin 15 month old boys this week until 2:30 in the afternoon. They are so cute and Hayden is happy to have someone his age to play with. It is pretty cute watching them all play together!!

Austin is home today. His allergies are really bad or he has something else. He isn't running a fever and doesn't have a runny nose or anything. He just has a cough and his eyes are red....so I am thinking it is just allergies. He is out of flonase so I had to call in another prescription.

I am so worn out from this weekend and I have a full week of kids this week. Good thing though because I love the kids so much! They are so much fun!! I also have Emmi Reeser on Thursday!!!

Trae's day is quickly approaching and I feel so blessed. 8 years I have had so much joy, 8 years of so many smiles, laughter and tears. 8 years I have had with him and so many more to celebrate. Trae is so much like me, I can really relate to his feelings and emotions. He also has many of my brother's qualities. He is an honor roll, straight A student that strives for the best. He puts his whole heart into everything. Trae doesn't like to disappoint, he loves to help. Trae is one of the best kids in the entire world, the most loving brother, wonderful nephew, grandson and cousin! I am so lucky to have him in my life. I feel like the most blessed mother in the world.
I pray that Trae has many many more wonderful years!!!

Some things I just do not understand. I don't understand why the nice person ALWAYS gets taken advantage of!! Why the nice person who sticks up for someone at all costs turns into the bad guy??? The nice person who helps someone out as much as she can and doesn't even get a thank you. Maybe the nice guy should start being not-so-nice! Time to start standing up for who we are and what we believe in. Trying to hard to please someone and always having it slap you in the face. What a joke!!

My faith will get me through anything! I will not try anymore nor will I keep my mouth shut anymore. I will stand up for myself and for what I believe in.

Nothing "will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39).
The 2 older boys woke up in the worst mood this morning! They were really dragging getting ready for school. Austin has been giving me a hard time lately but NEVER Trae!! Trae is very particular about his clothes and how they fit, feel, etc. He was aggravated at them this morning and didn't like how his under shirt was fitting.

Hayden has been in a good mood and seems to be managing his 3 new teeth coming in.

I am preparing everything for Trae's 8th birthday party this Sunday!! He is having it at the park this year...he wanted to play football with all of his friends. It is a Dallas Cowboys theme!

I am also having a very small Halloween party on Halloween. All of the girls are going to go out and trick or treat with the kids and the Dad's are going to stay at the house and pass out candy!!

This year the boys wanted to decorate the yard spooky so we have strobe lights, fog machine, flashing ghosts in the window, scary music and a graveyard in the front yard.

Games were great this weekend! Austin lost his but they tried really hard. Trae won his game and scored 2 touchdowns!! They are still undefeated.
Ash and Steve had us over for dinner Saturday night...it was soooo good!!! The kids had fun together and Emmi had fun pushing Hayden around in her car. You can tell she is an only child, everytime Hayden would get a toy she would take it from him!!! I remember those days with Trae. Thing is it doesn't last long...they learn to share pretty quickly once the other one shows up.
After I went grocery shopping this afternoon we went to the Celina Pumpkin Patch and met Ash and Steve and Emmi there. The kids had a great time feeding the animals, taking pictures together, going on the Hayride and picking out pumpkins. Ash is uploading the pictures so I will add them tomorrow. We had a great time and the kids loved being together!!
Back to cleaning....

Trae had football tonight and the weather was PERFECT!! So nice!! Austin and I threw the football back and forth and he looked at his football book he checked out from the library. Trae had an awesome practice! He ran the ball like a pro and no one could tackle him....shocker! He is so good!!! I am so proud of him, can you tell? He also tackled and blocked like a pro! He is so aggresive and enjoyed every minute of it. I cannot wait to see him at the game on Saturday because it looks like Coach Bill will be running him alot!
I am still looking for a full time job...so keep praying something GREAT comes along!!
I am so glad tomorrow is Friday!!! Yea!!

Parent/Teacher Conferences Today

Today I had both of the boys parent/teacher conferences. Mrs. Horak, Austin's teacher said he is the sweetest student she has ever had. She just adores him so much! She went on and on about what a good kid he is. He is doing great in Math, always gets 100's. He is struggling in reading and we are going to keep working on that with him. Austin has taken longer to learn letter and sound recognition. Once he completely masters that he will be a better reader. He tried very hard though and doesn't give up. He never gets into trouble and always listens. She gave me some ideas to try and help him work on his weaknesses.
Trae is doing great in everything and his teacher said he is such a good kid. She said she never has to get on to him or anything. She said he catches on quickly and does so perfectly. He is advanced in all of his learning and is testing in a 5th grade level (highest they compare too). His writing, reading and drawing is advanced. He does struggle sometimes with reading comprehension but barely. He is doing great in all subjects too!
I am very proud of my boys! Not only are they good students but great kids in general. Their teachers LOVE them and appreciate their manners. Yeah, Turner Boys!!

I wish this weekend wasn't over!!! They seem to just fly by now a days. We had a good weekend both of the boys won their games again. Gaga came to both and Ash and Emmi came to Trae's.
The boys and I went Halloween decoration shopping on Saturday and put some of it up in the house. Sunday we all went on a walk down a beautiful trail and played at the park. The boys had so much fun rolling down the hills too!! After that we came home and the boys played football in the backyard.
Hayden is getting more teeth so his nose has been running. He is such a ham!!
The boys do not have school tomorrow it is parent teacher conference day. I did get Trae's report card and he had all A's. Mostly 100's, 98 was his lowest. Austin is graded on a different level and we will discuss all of that tomorrow.
I hope you all had a great weekend and have an even more wonderful week!!!

It is storming right now. Austin doesn't like thunderstorms so I laid down with him. He was so cute sucking his tongue with his finger across his lips. One arm wrapped around me....then 4 minutes later he was fast asleep. I just laid there looking at him and gently rubbing his forehead. I am amazed at how beautiful my boys are. I look at him and feel so proud to be his mommy. Every inch of him is such a miracle to me....I just starred in amazement. The Lord has been so good to me. I hear stories about people going out, drinking, dancing, having a good time and I don't want to do that. I thought about what makes me happy and its being with the boys. Doing crafts, dancing around being silly, talking, playing, doing homework, fishing, football, etc. They bring me soooooo much joy!!!
We had a busy week and weekend. The boys both did great at their games and won! Hayden had fun running all over the place. I still don't think I have fully recovered!!
Austin puts in 100% each time and helped his team win their 2nd game. It was a close game but we went into overtime and won it! Go Tigers!!
Trae was running back this past game and ran 2 touchdowns (almost 3) and did a perfect job at Linebacker too!! He is really liking playing running back....not so much pressure as Quarterback and he gets to score the touchdowns more. Trae made some really good tackles too.
The boys are doing great in school and learning so much. They come home with prizes everyday for being so good at school. They don't ever get into trouble for anything!! Thank goodness. I must have done something right!! :)
I am getting ready for Trae's 8th birthday party and also a halloween party for the kids before trick or treating so I am staying busy. Trae wants to have his party at the park so he and his friends can play football. I think we will cook out some hotdogs for the kids and have a cookie cake this year. That's it for now!!

I feel so blessed. Today when the boys got home we had so much fun doing homework!! Yeah, I said it...homework!! I am so proud of my little boys. They are so smart! After homework we ate dinner and then me and all the boys went to play tennis!! We had so much fun!!

I need to find a job full time and hopefully something close by. Please keep me in your prayers and hopefully something GREAT will come my way. Based on the economy we are just skating by and need more income.
