Thanksgiving was great! We all went over to Ashleigh's and Steve made the turkey and Ash made a green bean casserole. Gaga brought dressing, shrimp and jalepeno appetizers and giblet gravy. Steve's parents came and brought a rice casserole and a corn casserole. I brought sweet potato souffle, potato casserole, rolls, brownies covered in marshmallow creme and mini choc chips and a ham. Everything was great! I had more fun hanging out with the family though.... Hayden and Emmi had a blast. I was trying to get Emmi to say my name and instead she said "Aunt-ti" oh well...at least she called me something!

Today I am watching a couple kids and two are asleep, one is laying down watching a Santa movie, three are at the kitchen table doing arts and crafts and eating a snack.

Paul is working, he had to go in. Hopefully he will take the week off before Christmas so we can all spend time together. Gotta go, I will update pictures later!!!

Hayden's Surgery Today

It went well, Hayden did great and only cried for a second when they took him out of my arms to carry him into the operating room. Surgery was less than 10 minutes and he woke up in recovery screaming and crying. Poor baby!!! He didn't stop crying until we got home. He took a nap and woke up feeling great! He was happy, playing, running and eating. He was normal Hayden!!
The doctor said his ears were filled with puss even with him on the antibiotic. He asked Paul and I if he had been sleeping at night. I guess he thought he hadn't but Hayden is a great sleeper!!! He is probably just used to the ear infections....

I am up cooking....I made a sweet potato souffle, brownies with marshmallow cream (for Ash), Mashed potato casserole for those who don't like sweet potatoes, fresh cranberry sauce and a ham tomorrow. I also bought rolls.... I am about to go to bed and clean up in the morning. I am whipped! I am excited to spend the day with my wonderful family tomorrow!! I hope all of you have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Hayden is doing MUCH better!! Hopefully tonight he will sleep well. He has a checkup tomorrow with the doctor. She will tell us then if we need to reschedule his ear tube surgery for Weds. If he has any congestion he will not be able to have it. He seems to be doing ok, so we will see.
Austin is doing ok, he is still coughing a little bit. I don't understand how he doesn't have allergies but we will see how this new treatment works. I just hope this works for his sake!
Trae is doing great but really missing football! We are going to play him in Arena (indoor football) next. Austin is too young to play so he will get to pick what he wants to do next. I am enjoying the break from practices!!
This weekend I am decorating for Christmas, I can't wait!!! I love my decorations!!

Hayden's ENT appt.

Hayden saw the ENT yesterday and he highly recommended Hayden have tubes put in. He is getting alot of ear infections and in order to protect him and his hearing this is the best decision. He will go in on Nov.26th to get them. The surgery will only take about 10 minutes!

We went to the Allergies and Asthma Specialist for Austin and he doesn't have any allergies after all.... weird, but true. His asthma is acting up because of colds, infections, etc.... The doctor has put him on an inhaled steroid that we will use the entire winter, everyday. He will continue the flonase for now but he said to stop the Allegra. When we go back to see him in 5 weeks he will possibly take him off the Flonase too. Here are some pics of his allergy test!

Go Gators!

Today is the big day, the Championship game! I painted some cowbells and made some pennants that we can wave for Trae. He is excited and wants to win this year! It is cold this morning...brrrr. I can tell Paul is pumped up too, the coaches want to see their hard work pay off too.

Austin's allergy and asthma specialist appt. is Tuesday along with Hayden's ENT appt. Poor Austin's allergies are bad! It seems as if the Allegra and Flonase are not working so well anymore.

Everyone is great here! The boys are doing fabulous in school and loving it. Hayden is great and growing up every minute.

The week is almost over and I cannot wait! It has been a busy one and I am ready for some time to relax!
Trae's game is Saturday at noon for the Championship! We are all ready to go cheer him on. I have to get the boys some clothes for the winter this weekend. Trae has outgrown almost every shirt he has. He is getting so tall.
I need to start buying Christmas presents too, it is coming up quickly!! I walked around Target the other night and got some good ideas. Hayden is the easy one this year. Trae is the most difficult because he doesn't like toys anymore. He said sports clothes, ipod, electric scooter, in-line skates and electric guitar. Austin wants an ipod, electric scooter, electric guitar, drums, skates and some action figures. I already know what I am getting Emmi, Gaga and the grandparents. I have an idea for Paul too!
Ash is having some purse party, jewlery party this Friday that I have to go too. I do need a new purse so that is good!!
Better go, babies are up!

Please keep those in your prayers who are going through a financially hard time right now. I know many people just trying to stay afloat. Please pray that they get back on their feet and are able to provide for their families.

Papa Turner- Our Vet who served in Vietnam

I had typed up this long update yesterday and somehow it was gone before I could save it.

Soooo, let me try this again....

Austin's team lost their playoff game so football is over for him. His team tried so hard and gave it their all! We had a wonderful season.

Trae's team won their game and are in the Championship again this year! They will play the Colts on Saturday and the winner will be this year's champions!! He is very excited.

Thank you to all the Veteran's today and everyday!! God Bless you all.

Tomorrow is the big day! I hope we win both games!!! I cannot wait!!!
Go Tigers and Gators!!!

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

It was a very long day today! The boys got home from school and Trae stated that he wanted me to go/take him to his football practice tonight. Hayden still isn't feeling 100% so I left him with Paul. Trae had a great practice and is ready to win and score some touchdowns on Saturday. It was such a beautiful night and Austin and I had fun watching them play.

I am so completely exhausted but I am looking for a full time job online. I am hoping something great will come along soon. I have great plans for my future!! I need a job to get there though....
I am not quite sure if Hayden is getting better or not. When he is up, he is fussy and wants me to hold him ALL day. He took a long nap this morning, got up and ate and then went back to sleep about 2 hours later! He isn't running a fever but he still doesn't feel good. Poor guy, just breaks my heart.

Hopefully the sleep will help him heal! I know the rest of the family is fine. I heard Gaga felt like she was getting sick.... I hope not!

The New President

Austin came home and said at school he voted for Obama. Trae and I were shocked! I know Austin just voted on who his friend was probably voting for. Then he proceeded to tell me "mom, Obama kills babies! If I would have known that before I voted I wouldn't have voted for him." I guess he is hearing that from school. I had to explain that it was called abortion and Obama is for it. He doesn't actually go around himself and just kill random babies on the street.

Trae voted for McCain and he won at their school. We all need to pray that Obama can lead our country and help us!

President Barack Obama.....just doesn't sound right...... but, I have hope!

I truly believe God puts people in your life for a reason. These past couple of weeks have been hard on me. Emotionally. Today, I found someone who I know who is going through the same things I had been. She told me things she is dealing with that I have dealt with for a long time. She is sad, lost, feels hopeless, scared, etc. It is amazing that you can grow and help other people just from things you have experienced in your life. I wish I had the fix or something to help her because I feel for her. All I can do is pray she makes the right decisions....

Hayden had to go get a shot of an antibiotic last night and he seemed better until this afternoon he started coughing really bad! Ugh! Ash said Emmi has a cold and an ear infection too! Hayden has an appt. with the ENT on the 18th to schedule his tube surgery. Poor babies!! Trae and Austin are practicing for the semi-final's this week. Saturday is the big day...if we win we go the the Championship. I hope they both win!!! How exciting!!

Trae got his report card and he made all A's again and is on the Honor Roll. Austin is doing good too!!! They dont' get grades until the 2nd grade in Frisco. They just get a check mark by things they can do, etc. They both are loved by their teachers and never get into trouble...everything a mother could ask for!

I am still looking for a full time job, please pray something great comes along!!! :)

God Bless,
Jessica

Hayden had to go back to the doctor today. Paul didn't take him to the right place on Friday and they put him on a really weak antibiotic. Men just don't listen!! I guess if you want it done right you have to do it yourself! He was still running a fever all day since Friday. I took him into Acute Kids and they gave him a strong antibiotic shot and called in a prescription for Omnicef. Hayden has an appt. Nov.18th to meet with the ENT and then we will schedule his surgery from there. He will have to have tubes afterall. Hopefully by tomorrow Hayden will be doing much better!! Goodnight!!!

Playoff Games

The boys won their playoff games!!! Trae's team creamed the Patriots 26 to 0. Austin's team was tied up and went into overtime and won! Austin was blocking so well he opened the biggest hole for the running back to run threw. Because Austin did that we were able to score again and won the game!!! It was an intense game.

Gaga was nice enough that she stayed with Hayden at our house so I could go to the games. Hayden was still miserable and running a fever so he couldn't go. I know Gaga wanted to watch the games but she helped me out in a BIG WAY!! I cannot thank you enough mom!!! Thanks.

This week we play the Hurricane's and the Texans....Go Gators and Tigers!!!

Halloween Night

Halloween was alot of fun! The kids had a great time. Hayden had to go to the doctor because he needed to get on an antibiotic. He had an ear infection. Hayden stayed home with Gaga and the dad's. All the mom's and other kids went trick or treating. They got WAY too much candy!

I was getting stopped by mom's and kids asking if I was Trae's mom. Trae is quite the kiddo.... mom's telling me that their daughter's have the biggest crush on him. Girls stopping Trae trying to get his attention.... Their was even a boy in his grade that stopped him and told him how "cool" he looked! What??? Trae didn't pay much attention to any of it. He honestly could care less. I was just shocked! Everyone knows who Trae is.
Their was also a girl who told her mom "that's Austin mom!! He is in my class!!" I heard the mom say "oh, that's Austin". This particular girl rides their bus and has a crush on Austin. I just want to know why girl's are so boy crazy so early??? My boys don't like girls yet but the girls sure are interested.

Ash made Tortilla Soup and it was soooo good! I made jalepeno appetizers, cupcakes and a sopapilla cheescake. Everything turned out so well! The boys looked cute but Emmi was just adorable in her costume!!! So cute!!
